It allows the players to pretend that theyre in the greatest band of all time. The Beatles: Rock Band is primed to be the alpha and omega of music games, the type of thing that will lead people who have never played a video game in their lives to get a game system in order to play it. It is also, to our memory, one of the first instances of feedback landing in a pop record. And dont forget the speed-up after the My baby dont care part. Georges solo is simple, the two-part vocal is a good warm-up for And Your Bird Can Sing, and whoevers playing Ringo, hopefully, will get to rock that cowbell. The guitar riff spawned a million imitators (Im a Believer, were looking in your direction), Pauls bass line is busy as a bee, Ringo gets a ton of quick in-and-out fills, and the combination of Pauls relatively low vocal and George and Johns falsetto backing vocals is too good to resist. A challenging track, but ripe for racking up bonus points for nailing the harmonies. ![]() Come on, you know youd rather play the seagull-like waaah waaah waaah than a sitar. From there, Ringos kick drum gets crazy busy, and the rhythm section is one of the thickest in the bands history. For game players, though, this is purely a JohnGeorge moment. Whoevers playing bass will have to keep his wits, though, because Paul gets very busy as the song is winding down. Have your singers go get a round of drinks for your troubles. John may not like the quick pace of their recording (he thought it was too fast), but we like it just fine. The song is Pauls love letter to Little Richard, and it rocks like few other early period Beatles tunes. Of all the songs on this list, this is the one that we were positive would make the final cut. He adds some kind of fill at the end of every line, as if hes in Saga or something. Paul delivers one of his best bass lines, and Johns vocal has a Zen, slightly stoned cool to it. Georges lyrical guitar line is practically a second vocalist, and Ringo does a ton of fun little fills. ![]() There are no horns or strings to clutter the proceedings, the song fades after the third chorus and then boom, Ringo gets a drum solo while the guitarists fetch themselves a drink.
